CHALLENGE
Devising an emergency watch with smartwatch aesthetics
Atam challenged us to design an emergency watch for seniors that would be very durable, easy to use and fast, with a long battery life and a minimalist, modern aesthetic.
PROCESS
Research as a key pillar when the target audience is a market minority
We designed an ecosystem consisting of three elements: the emergency clock, a charging hub and a wifi extender connected to the power supply to extend the coverage of the clock. The design process was preceded by a research phase.
RESULT
A durable, attractive and inclusive medical device
The new Atam emergency watch breaks away from the typical aesthetics of medical devices and adopts a smartwatch-inspired design, while retaining all the essential functions required by elderly and dependent people.
