The Orange team invited us to create two new router devices to generate innovative and disruptive concepts that could inspire their design teams.
Our Design and engineering team developed two new proposals for the company’s high-end equipment, one based on sharp edges and the other on organic curves.
The resulting routers are designed to blend with the furniture of any room, incorporating Lúcid’s vision to dignify products that are rarely visible to the user.

Routers have a distinct need for ventilation to prevent them from overheating under heavy data loads, which can become critically defining to the product’s design. To solve this, our teams at Lúcid worked to develop solutions that answered to both form and function, using textile covers to bring forward their design vision without sacrificing airflow.
